Fill and drain faults, blinking lights, poor cleaning results and dishwasher error codes.
A blinking Normal (or cycle) light on most dishwashers means the door isn't fully latched, the cycle is paused, or the machine has detected a drainage or water-fill issue. On many models it's a status indicator rather than a fault code, but the exact meaning varies by brand.
Most dishwashers reset themselves automatically once power returns. If a cycle is stuck or the display is unresponsive, cancel the current cycle, close the door, and either press the Start/Reset button combination for your model or cut power at the breaker for one minute.
