Technical accuracy matters more on this site than volume of content. This policy explains how claims are checked.

Before publication

1. Code meaning: checked against the manufacturer’s official documentation for the stated appliance and model range where such documentation is available.
2. Scope: the guide states which brand, appliance type and model series it applies to, rather than implying it applies universally.
3. Steps: each troubleshooting step is reviewed to confirm it can be carried out safely by a non-professional, or is explicitly marked as requiring a qualified professional.
4. Sources: links to official manuals or support pages are added where they exist.

When documentation is unavailable

If we cannot verify the meaning of a code against an official source, we either do not publish the guide or we state plainly that the meaning is commonly reported but unconfirmed, and direct readers to their own manual.

Reporting an error

If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, please contact us with the guide URL, your appliance model and, if possible, a link or reference to the official documentation. Verified corrections are applied promptly and the guide’s update date is changed.
